Job Title: Human Resources Officer
Location: Mainland, Lagos
Sector: Micro Finance Bank

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an organized and proactive HR Officer with experience in the Microfinance industry. As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day HR operations. This position offers an opportunity to help build a positive workplace culture, support staff development and ensure compliance with HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviewing and onboarding new employees. Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for all new hires.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, resolving any HR-related issues and fostering positive employee relations. Ensure a fair, respectful, and supportive workplace environment.
• Coordinate and facilitate training programs that enhance employees’ skills and knowledge. Support career development initiatives, helping employees meet their professional goals.
• Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and providing feedback to employees. Help identify opportunities for improvement and support managers in performance-related matters.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant with local regulations, and aligned with the bank’s objectives.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, internal policies, and industry regulations. Help create and maintain an effective set of HR policies and guidelines.
• Support initiatives related to employee well-being, including health programs, work-life balance, and overall morale within the bank.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR data, and reports for senior management. Monitor HR metrics and suggest improvements where necessary.

Job Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with relevant.
– Minimum of 2years proven experience in human resources, preferably in the banking sector .
– Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws and regulations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
