Job Title: Nursery School Lead

Location: Maryland, Lagos
Job Type:Full-time

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursery School Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early childhood education, and extensive knowledge of the British Nursery Curriculum. As a Nursery Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational experiences that promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of young learners.

JOB DESCRIPTION
– Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
– Develop and implement a rich, engaging curriculum based on the British Nursery Curriculum framework.
– Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive and develop holistically.
– Collaborate with staff to plan and execute age-appropriate learning activities and assessments.
– Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain high standards of care and education.
– Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
– Promote a positive, inclusive culture within the nursery that supports both staff and students.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (B.Ed or equivalent). A PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) is an added advantage.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a leadership role within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
-Proven experience with the British Nursery Curriculum, including planning, assessment, and delivery.
-Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of educators.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, staff, and parents.
-A deep understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
-Ability to create and maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
-Proficiency in the use of technology for educational purposes and administrative tasks.
-Passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing a nurturing learning environment.
-Capable of driving continuous improvement within the nursery to enhance the overall educational experience.
