Job Overview:
As a WordPress Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites and applications. You’ll work on complex projects, ensure high performance, scalability, and code quality, and provide mentorship to junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional websites.
Implement and manage APIs and third-party integrations.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly.
Stay updated on WordPress best practices, coding standards, and new trends.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
Manage deployment workflows and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Deep understanding of the WordPress core, database architecture, and REST APIs.
Experience with Elementor block development and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
Experience with performance optimization and site speed improvement tools.
Knowledge of SEO principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Tools & Platforms:
Expertise in Git version control.
Experience with hosting platforms like WP Engine, Kinsta, or similar.
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows is a bonus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
Experience in multisite WordPress environments.
Contributions to the WordPress community (plugins, themes, forums, etc.).
