Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Optimization: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment used in food production processes.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to enhance machinery performance, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems meet safety, health, and regulatory standards, maintaining compliance with food industry regulations.
Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate records of all engineering activities and repairs.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to implement effective solutions for ongoing production challenges.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Strong understanding of food manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes.
Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with industry-standard maintenance tools.
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
