A reputable engineering firm which is into Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) Extra low voltage systems (ELVS), Building management systems (BMS) & Automation services, is sourcing for:
Job title: Lift installer
1-5years relative working experience.
Location: Lekki Lagos (Island)
Qualification: BSC in Electrical Engineering or rated field
Responsibilities
• Ability to install,assemble, maintain and operate the automated filing machine.
* Good knowledge of installation, repair, maintenance and repair of Elevators such as freight Lift and passenger Lifts.
* Ability to modify the various tools and their associated components to aid the smooth operation of the Elevator and maintain its safety.
* Maintain logs and records of various sites and tests performed on Elevator control panels as part of preventive and maintenance schemes.
* Ability to perform troubleshooting on components such as Tractor Elevator {Machine Roomless (MRL)and Machine Room (MR).
* Familiarity with different types of Elevators such as Traction and hydraulic Elevator.
* Ability to differentiate between panoramic (Glass clouding Elevator) and standard Lift with shaft and pit.
* Knowledgeable with various parts of Elevator equipment and component sucah as chain blocks, multimeter, Allen keys, helmet and safety belt,Voltmeter,cutting wheel, cutting disc, combination wrenches,plumb,hammer,tape, slicing machine,tape line, jack, etc.
* Ability to perform regular inspections on Elevator.
* Ability to rescue a trapped passenger using a landing door emergency release key in case of emergency or accident occurence.
* Ability to make quick decisions and work at the flexible time frame

* Mechanical skills/knowledge of power tools
* Electrical skills/working knowledge of wiring
* Ability to diagnose elevator problems and repair them accordingly
* Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams
