Responsibilities:
. Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and compliance with regulations.
. Develop and implement audit plans, programs, and procedures to address identified risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
. Evaluate internal processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency.
. Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for management review.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
. Ensure that company assets are safeguarded.
. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to auditing and risk management.
Requirements:
. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
. Membership of ICAN/ACCA.
. Minimum of 3 years experience in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance, preferably in the logistics industry.
. Good understanding of auditing and financial reporting principles and practices.
. Great attention to detail.
. Good numerical and analytical skills.
. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in work.
. Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant computer software.
