We seek a skilled developer to create a prototype for an online marketplace tailored to Fishify Nigeria. The prototype should be built using the Speed Builder boilerplate provided. The ideal candidate will have experience in rapid application development and e-commerce solutions. You will work closely with our team to ensure the prototype meets our specifications and user needs. The Contractor shall develop an online marketplace for Fishify Africa using the speed builder boilerplate provided at https://www.speedbuildmarketplace.com/#features. The deliverables shall include:

SCOPE OF WORK

The Contractor shall develop an online marketplace prototype for Fishify Africa using the speed builder boilerplate provided at https://www.speedbuildmarketplace.com/#features. The deliverables shall include:

Creation of an Online Marketplace

Development of a two-sided marketplace to facilitate transactions between sellers and buyers.
Integration of a seller and buyer registration system.
Categorisation of sellers based on farm size:
Large farms: 50,000+ capacity.
Medium farms: 10,000 – 50,000 capacity.
Small farms: Less than 10,000 capacity.
The categorisation of sellers is based on the state of location in Nigeria.

Categorisation of buyers into:

Individuals
Distributors
Dealers
Off-takers
User Verification Process

Sellers shall undergo:

Online verification via email and phone.
Physical verification by an agent or affiliate of Fishify Africa.
Additional verification methods as required.
Buyers shall undergo:

Online verification via email and phone.
Video call verification to confirm identity.
Transaction and Payment Process

All transactions shall pass through business integrity screening and approval.

Sellers must:

Upload videos and pictures of listed products.
Set a fixed price at the time of listing, with the ability to update before purchase.
Maintain a clear refund policy.
Before payment is processed, buyers and sellers must confirm the product via video call.
Payments shall be processed via Interswitch and Paystack for buyer and seller protection.
Registration and Support for Fishify-Africa Agents

Creating a registration system for agents to support buyers and sellers as needed.
COMPENSATION AND PAYMENT TERMS

Laj Aquaculture shall compensate the Contractor for the development of the prototype as per the agreed terms and milestones.
The Contractor shall receive the Naira equivalent of $200 in four instalments, based on the successful completion of each milestone:
$250 upon completion of 1.1
$250 upon completion of 1.2
$250 upon completion of 1.3
$450 upon completion of 1.4
The Contractor must provide palpable industry best practice evidence for each milestone to proceed to the next and be eligible to receive the corresponding payment.
The agreed timeline for completion of all milestones is 10-14 days from the date of signing this Agreement.
Failure to meet this deadline will trigger the termination clause (Clause 6) and require the Contractor to refund 80% of the payment received so far to Laj Aquaculture, except for the administration fee.
TIMELINES AND DELIVERABLES

The development shall be completed within 6-8 weeks from the date of signing this Agreement.
The Contractor shall provide progress reports and updates at intervals agreed upon by both Parties.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All intellectual property rights in the developed platform shall be owned by Laj Aquaculture and Farmacology Nigeria Ltd upon completion and payment of the agreed compensation.
The Contractor shall not claim ownership or use the platform for any purpose outside the scope of this Agreement without prior written consent from Laj Aquaculture.
CONFIDENTIALITY & NONDISCLOSURE

The Parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information exchanged during the course of this Project.
The Contractor shall not disclose any information related to the concept, structure, business model, or operations of Fishify Africa, nor the terms and conditions of this contract, to any third party without prior written consent from Laj Aquaculture.
This confidentiality and non-disclosure obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement and shall remain in effect indefinitely.
Any breach of this confidentiality and non-disclosure clause shall result in legal action and financial compensation as deemed appropriate by Nigerian law.
TERMINATION

This Agreement may be terminated:

By mutual agreement of the Parties.
By Laj Aquaculture if the Contractor fails to meet agreed milestones or deliverables.
By the Contractor if Laj Aquaculture fails to provide necessary resources or payments.
In the event of termination, the Contractor shall be compensated for completed milestones, but any unfinished work shall remain the property of Laj Aquaculture.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved amicably through negotiation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation or arbitration as per Nigerian law and by Upwork’s policy and terms where applicable.
Both Parties agree to abide by Upwork’s dispute resolution process for any matters related to work conducted through the Upwork platform.
