Accountant Needed in an Healthcare Industry in Lagos

Location: Lagos
Industry: Healthcare (Hospital experience is a MUST)

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
– Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
– Prepare and analyze financial reports and forecasts.
– Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning processes.
– Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
– Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
– Monitor and report on financial performance.
– Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
– Support external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.
– Maintain and improve financial controls and processes.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– 3-5years of proven experience as an Accountant in the healthcare industry 
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial data analysis.
– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
