Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and responsible Dispatch Rider to join our team. The Dispatch Rider will be responsible for delivering parcels, documents, and other items to customers or specified locations in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate must have excellent time management skills, knowledge of the local area, and a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
– Pick up and deliver packages, documents, or goods to specified destinations as per the assigned schedule.
– Ensure the safe and secure handling of items during transit.
– Plan efficient routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
– Verify delivery information, such as names, addresses, and contact numbers, before setting out.
– Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors for delivery instructions or changes to schedule.
– Maintain logs and records of deliveries, including recipient signatures, and report any issues encountered.
– Handle all necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
– Ensure that the motorcycle or bike is in proper working condition by performing routine checks and maintenance.
– Follow traffic regulations and safety standards to ensure personal and item safety.
– Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from customers.
– Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or other issues to management.
Requirements:
– Valid motorcycle or bike license.
– Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar delivery role.
– Knowledge of local routes and ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
– Ability to handle parcels safely and responsibly.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills.
– Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
– Physical fitness and stamina for riding long distances.
– Responsible and reliable, with a strong sense of professionalism.
