Job Description
A Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing sales and operations across a designated geographic region.
The role involves ensuring the company’s products are effectively distributed, displayed, and sold in retail outlets while also maintaining strong relationships with retail partners.
Job Responsibilities
Develop & implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales goals.
Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to meet or exceed sales objectives.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify pain points, and take corrective measures to identify and augment growth opportunities.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives & managers.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Stay informed about market trends, competitive products and activities, and new product development.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Adjust strategies based on market dynamics and competitive activities.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective relationship management.
Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and ensure they are documented for evaluation and further enhancement of customer satisfaction levels.
Implement customer feedback to improve service quality.
Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and distribution.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
Timely preparation & submission of regular reports on regional performance
Effective communication between the regional team and head office.
Job Requirements
MBA/HND in sales & marketing
A minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in sales and management within the retail & FMCG industry. An exposure to modern trade would be an added advantage.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve the sales and company objectives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze sales data and market trends
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail partners
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to CRM/Sales software.
