Database Administrator

Location: Lagos, Nigeria.
Employment Type: Full Time (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
-Manage and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases.
-Configure and monitor database servers for performance, availability, and security.
-Implement data modeling for integration and performance.
-Troubleshoot database issues and optimize queries and schema design
-Automate routine tasks and document changes.
-Provide regular support for mission-critical systems and perform maintenance outside regular hours

Basic Requirements
-BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server and other database management systems.
-3+ years of experience in database administration with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server(compulsory)
-Experience in the fintech industry is a major requirement.

Key Skills:
-Expertise in SQL Server and MySQL administration.
-Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
-Proficient in backup, restore, and recovery processes.
-Knowledge of High Availability, Database Replication, and Disaster Recovery.
-Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory.
-Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
