Job Description

*Establish administrative Standard of Operations and procedures for all secretariat functions. Ensure the existence of an adequate framework to run REAN’s activities. Planning and managing of operational budget as provided by the constitution.

*Supervise and coordinate the secretariat team. Manage the maintenance of all association records as provided by the constitution:

These records include:

*official records of member organizations.
registration documents, seal, articles of Incorporation.

*Directors’ lists, board, and committee meeting minutes

Financial reports, and other official records.  
Oversee and service all related and approved meetings and provided by the constitution. Other duties as demanded in fulfillment of REAN’s strategy and objectives.   
 
Strategic Communication:

Serve as the Public Relations front for REAN. Establish and maintain partnerships and relationship with various organizations within the ECO space to strategically drive REAN’s mission. Manages general correspondence of the Board of Directors except for such correspondence assigned to others. Maintain the association’s telephone, computer and email systems and website. Work closely with EXCO to ensure the REAN’s communication objectives are attained. Build and maintain mutually rewarding relationships with external media (local and international)  

Qualification:

At least 3-5 years relevant experience in a managerial role in the renewable energy sector. Working knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian renewable energy sector, policies and framework. A postgraduate degree in related areas of Energy/ Renewable Energy/Sustainability.

*The job holder must be able to demonstrate appropriate skills and experience which will enable him/her to deliver against the main purpose and key responsibilities of the role. More specifically, the following competencies are essential to succeed in the role:
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
General understanding of the Renewable Energy Industry, trends, and updates
The ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Must have a strong personality and be firm
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.

* Tech Savvy especially in relationship with content development and presentations.

* Strong communication and people management skills

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
Negotiation skills

* A selfmotivated individual who is able to work independently and is resultsorientated, with the ability to meet deadlines.

* Must operate within division policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives

* Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problemsolving skills and both verbal and written communication skills
